Having scoured the market for several months we were invited to a preview of the Strawberry Fields development. The location was perfect and more importantly the site was being developed by a highly respected local builder.

Initially we looked at the lovely Kirkstone house type but went all in and reserved the larger Windermere house type, the generous gardens, big double garage and private drive / cul-de-sac ticked every box. We were able to take advantage of the part exchange offer for our existing home and Lancastrian Properties even had it sold within just one week of being placed on the market! This meant we didn’t need to worry about chains breaking down and could just look forward to our plot being ready.

Being busy at work and raising a young family meant we needed a house we could just move in to and that’s exactly what we did. Being the first to reserve a plot and see our home literally rise out the ground was such an exciting experience. We were able to choose from a select range of finishes and flooring and through working with Matt at Lakeland Kitchens (who was brilliant) have our kitchen just the way we wanted it!

Having moved in winter we felt the immediate benefits of the latest construction standards, snagging was minor and the Oakmere team dealt with everything in a sensitive manner with contractors who were all courteous and attentive.
Being second to move in on-site meant we were in the hive of construction for a short period of time but the team did everything to kept the site clean and safe so the kids could take full advantage of their new surroundings.

We could not be happier in our new home, the Oakmere product is excellent and is finished to the highest standards. The Strawberry Fields development has already created a true sense of a community and nurtured new friendships for everyone. These are truly great homes in a great location and something to be proud of.
